P/T Volunteers in Mission Coordinator for the Western Jursidiction

The Western Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated individual for our Director of United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) and Disaster Response. This pivotal role serves as the principal liaison with the General Board of Global Ministries (GBGM) regarding Volunteers in Mission matters, the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) for disaster response initiatives, and the respective conference representatives.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for administering and coordinating UMVIM functions, cultivating vital contacts within GBGM, agencies across the United States, annual conferences, missionaries, volunteers, and church leaders worldwide. Your efforts will help develop meaningful UMVIM opportunities for our jurisdiction teams and provide support to disaster response requests with Early Response Teams (ERT) and UMCOR as needed.

Senior Specialist of Cross-Racial / Cross-Cultural Leadership and Programs – GCORR seeks an experienced leader in Cross-Racial/Cross-cultural ministry and in developing effective partnerships among multiple racial-ethnic communities.

Senior Specialist of Grant Programs – GCORR seeks an experienced leader in grant program management who will be responsible for coordinating the development of quadrennial grantmaking strategies, plans, and process for the CORR Action Fund (CAF) Committee; carrying out administrative management and grantee reporting/monitoring; and building liaison relationships with grantees and other key CAF GCORR partners.

Bothell UMC: P/T Nursery Childcare Assistant

Bothell United Methodist Church is seeking a Nursery Childcare Assistant to provide safe care in our church’s Nursery for toddlers through age four of families who participate in Sunday morning worship and the various ministries/activities offered by the church throughout the week. The childcare assistant, which reports to the Nursery Lead, will engage with children in worshipful experiences and faith practices through play, stories, song, and prayer during worship times. Regular hours are Sunday mornings 8:30am-12pm, with additional opportunities as they arise. Salary: $21/hour

Kent UMC (Kent, WA): P/T Director of Children’s Discipleship

Oak Harbor First UMC: P/T Praise Team Leader

Are you passionate about leading worship through music and enriching church community life? Oak Harbor First United Methodist Church is seeking a dedicated Lead Musician to oversee our dynamic music ministry. As Lead Musician, you’ll shape worship experiences through a blend of contemporary and traditional music styles, working closely with our pastor and team members.

Summary: Lead music ministry activities at Oak Harbor First United Methodist Church in alignment with its mission and values, under the supervision of the Pastor and SPPR Team. This is a part-time position of 20 hours per week, at $50/hour

Responsibilities:
• Oversee weekly music activities in a variety of musical styles.
• Arrange music for the Praise Team vocalists and prepare music materials for the other Praise Team music participants.
• Lead the Praise Team in rehearsals and services, selecting appropriate music.
• Maintain music library and equipment.
• Arrange substitutes for rehearsals/services and provide music for seasonal services.
• Coordinate with volunteers/staff for worship service details and manage music purchases.

Musical Competencies:
• Versatility in music styles (hymns, folk, contemporary Christian, etc.).
• Proficiency in keyboard (piano/organ) or guitar; ability to arrange/adapt music.

Qualifications:
• Commitment to Christian faith, regular church attendance, and Christian values.
• Collaborative work style with staff, volunteers, and congregants.
• Bachelor of Music degree or equivalent experience.
• Background check and Safe Church training completion.

Aldersgate UMC (Bellevue, WA): P/T Preschool Director

Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Bellevue, Washington, is in search for a part-time director for our Christian Preschool program, 15 -20 hours a week at $35.00 per hour

Education and Experience:

  • Knowledge of current Best Practices in Early Childhood Education with a minimum

  • Demonstrated experience as an administrator of a preschool or childcare center
  • Experience preparing an annual budget with a knowledge of business financial management
