New podcast exploring preaching launched by PNW pastor
Over the summer, Rev. Meredith Gudger Raines, pastor at Marysville United Methodist Church, began pursuing the idea of a podcast that would unravel the mystery of sermon writing. This week, that podcast is launching with three episodes featuring conversations with colleagues about their sermon-writing approach, their congregations, and the communities they hope to nurture and serve.
Trinity UMC offers needed respite care program for Sequim families living with dementia
Twice a week, Tim’s Place in Sequim provides its respite ministry for individuals with memory loss and their caregivers. Founded by Trinity UMC in 2019, the program offers care, activities, and support through a community-based volunteer model, ensuring essential break time for caregivers. Patrick Scriven shares the story of how the model works and how this ministry got started.
