Quilts for “Children at Risk!”
These handmade quilts share love and warmth to the “Children at Risk” in our communities. Now is a good time to get busy making them. The handmade blanket can be quilted, knitted, crocheted or made from fleece. Your church pastor can bring them to our table at the PNW UMC Annual Conference meeting in Puyallup from June 7-9, 2019.
The Crest to Coast Missional District UMW will be leading this project and they are hoping to increase the number of quilts being brought to annual conference. If you did not send a quilt to conference last year, please consider sending one this year. Together we can increase the number of smiles on the face of a child receiving a quilt filled with love and prayers.
In 2018, the 284 Quilts for “Children at Risk” in our Conference was a beautiful display of color, texture and shapes (see picture below). Let’s double the amount this year!
Quilts this past year were given to the UMW District Presidents and distributed to mission agencies in their areas working with women, youth, children, and babies.
