Bishop Elaine J.W. Stanovsky intends to appoint the Rev. Heather Sparkman to the Capital Circuit (Olympia Area) to plant a new church in the Steamboat Island community in Thurston County, beginning July 1, 2018.
Rev. Sparkman is currently serving the Oakville and Rochester United Methodist Churches in southwest Washington.
