Older Adults Retreat
September 18 – 20, 2018
Lazy F Retreat Camp . Ellensburg, WA.
Still thinking about going to the September Retreat? You still have time to register!! We are all filling a bit weighted down by this summer’s heat and smoke, so the Retreat would be a welcome way for a ‘get away’ and to begin the Fall season – it’s a good way to have fun and have a change of scenery. And, God has supplied plenty of gorgeous scenery in the Canyon where Lazy F is!
NOTE: To inquire about camping scholarships, please see below for contact info.
We will be exploring pertinent and timely topics of discussion, led by knowledgeable and experts in their area!
- What’s the Next thing I should do to help my family be better prepared for a natural disaster?
- What’s Next for those who have immigrated to Washington State?
- What’s Next in our spiritual lives? How do Older Adults keep their spirituality and faith alive?
Wendy Riddle, LLP, Retired, will lead the discussion on ‘What’s Next’to do for yourself and your family in the event of a natural disaster.
Rev. Jen Stuart, Ellensburg UMC with special guests will be leading a worship service and a discussion on the organization ‘Justice for Our Neighbors.
Cathy Raymond, CLM, Tumwater UMC, will be leading the Retreat in new spiritual development discussions through various methods of art, story-telling, and guided discussions. Lots of laughter has been promised, also!!
This Retreat will be stimulating, energizing, fun, faith-filled, with room for wonderful meals, music, free-time and just plain fun! The setting is in the gorgeous canyon of Manastash – in September the Canyon is ablaze with the gold leaves of fall.
