The incentive to give generously to the Place at the Table Campaign at Lazy F Camp and Retreat Center was stepped up several levels recently. About two weeks ago, a handful of donors pledged to match all gifts, large or small, up to $150,000 until the end of this year. This is a true testament of the energy and passion behind this project to construct a new dining hall at Lazy F.
About two weeks ago, a handful of donors pledged to match all gifts, large or small, up to $150,000 until the end of this year.
Since this opportunity was announced, $42,000 has already been matched! The smallest gift matched is $1.00 (“it is all I have in my wallet”); the largest gift matched is from First United Methodist Church in Wenatchee with a $5,000 donation.
The kick off banquet in Yakima several weeks ago attracted 140 people and raised $42,000. In addition to many guest groups who regularly visit Lazy F, there was wonderful representation from the Yakima: Wesley and Selah United Methodist Churches at the event. Two additional events are planned for the next two weeks in the Tri Cities and in New Castle. Please contact our office if you are interested in attending the dinner on November 6th at the Golf Club at Newcastle.
Your support is needed to finish off this campaign! Over $1.1 million has been raised and pledged, with a goal of $1.4 million to break ground. There is still $108,000 available to have your pledge doubled! So act before the end of the year! Please contact the Lazy F Camp office at (509)962-2780 or visit lazyfcamp.org to participate in the 3 year pledge process or provide a one-time gift.
