YOUNG ADULT HIKE-A-THON
The Conference Council on Young Adult Ministries is partnering with the Bishop’s Hope For the Children of Africa Task Force to raise funds to build Jamaa Letu II, a boy’s orphanage to address this very question. This summer young people from the Pacific Northwest will be hiking and climbing to raise funds to support the construction of the orphanage and to provide
ongoing provisions for the boys it will serve.

The main hike is happening on August 15-17 at Mt. Adams with a group summiting and other intermediate hikes.We are also hoping that other hikes will be happening throughout the conference sponsored by local churches (and youth and YA groups) wanting to help make a difference. Help Needed @ Lazy F
Lazy F Camp is hosting Operation Purple, a camp for young people affected by having a parent serving in the military. The camp is taking place August 3 – 8 and August 10 – 15. If you are over the age of 21 and could help out either (or both) week(s) please contact Dave Burfeind at the Camp.
